"The informal appearances throughout the state... will permit many thousands of Utahns to at least get a look at the man who is both present chief executive and presidential candidate.

"There is a decided thrill to this political campaigning. The modern political tours may not have qute the color of the old torchlight parades, but they serve the same wholesome purpose of bringing political affairs close to the people. It's good for us all to see and hear our candidates for public office...
