WELCOME
I completed my PhD in Linguistics at the University of Southern California. I joined the Department of Linguistics at McGill University in 1992 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1998.
My research focuses on the acquisition of phonology. I am principally concerned with examining how representations can inform our understanding of patterns observed in the productions of first and second language learners.
I teach introductory courses in general linguistics and phonetics and more advanced courses in phonology and language acquisition.
I have been an Associate Editor of Language Acquisition since 2004. This journal publishes theoretically-informed research on the acquisition of phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics.
